Hi all. I need to add insulation to my attic. The house was built in 1964 and the stuff up there now is loose chunks of white insulation, in some spots only about 1 inch thick. Is there ANY chance that it could be asbestos insulation? If there's even a remote chance, I can send a sample to a lab for analysis but I couldn't determine if asbestos was being used for insulation in 1964 or not. If not, I'll just put new insulation over the old stuff. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
