I have a mobile home in a park that might need to be moved. I will hire professional movers for this, but am wondering about any disconnect fees. Who's responsibilty is that? Water, sewer, electric and phone. How does something like this work? (Michigan).

Usually the "owner" of the unit is responsible, just like a brick and mortar house, you move , you turn all the utilities off/on.
Little about a lot and a lot about a little.

      Utilities....

Yeah, the kids are responsible for shutting down the accounts, but what about the physical/mechanical disconnecting of water, gas, sewer, electric, cable...? Each utility have to come out and do that? Or is that something that the home owner does?

Well, around me here in NC the mobile home companies disconnect all that stuff ( even the electrical which they shouldn't touch, but this is NC) The city/county inspection departments say that electrical and plumbing and gas should only be touched by licensed people , electricians, plumber etc...
To get crystal clear clarification for your area give your local building department a quick call, I would think that the mobile home moving company should be able to tell you that as well.
Post back if you find out, I'm always interested about the differences in what's allowed or accepted and whats not from state to state.

          disconnect....

Hi, Pushkins. I like the suggestion of checking with the local codes, as this particular trailer park appears to be not 'reliable'. Will verify that and post back in weeks to come. Thanks again for the help.

In most states, all the fee are to the homeowner. Once the electric company removes the meter, the set up/hauler is generally a licensed contractor who specializes in the moving and set up of mobiles...they will do the physical disconnects and reconnects on the other end...

This is how it is done around here. The transport/setup crews set the trailer...THAT'S IT. And that's how it should be.
