I have never performed PVC repairs, so I am looking for some helpful suggestions on how to remove and then place new piping. The pipe that broke appears to be a drain line for AC condensation. Attached is a picture of the broken pipe:

the i think you will have enough room to glue a new ell on. you will have to change the fitting going into the coil drain, and you will need a short nipple to go to your new ell. When you put new fitting into drain box , make sure you use good pipe dope that is made for plastic. also if the pan is plastic be careful not to go too tight or you can crack the drain pan, and that can be costly. It looks like the pipe is 1/2" pvc. plastic. so make sure you get the right glue for pvc pipe. later Paul Also after fixing make sure you support the pipe so it will not
break again.Last edited by paul52446m; 04-04-2010, 01:26 PM.
