I've been having problems with a nipple that connects my tank to the pressure switch. About every 6 months the nipple breaks off at the tank in the threads, What can I do to keep this pipe nipple from always breaking?

Now that is strange. Sounds like it's a vibration issue. Try replacing the nipple with a couple of barbed fittings, compressor/switch. Run a piece of high pressure hose between 'em. Doesn't have to be long. Just guessing, HayZee.... -
Maybe using a shorter nipple would help. Is it galvanized pipe?Comment
