I can put it back, but I think it's the same as "recent threads" on the home page

Yeah, but you have to go back to the home page then click on the new posts, the old way when you finish posting a reply you just needed to click on the new threads button on that page...(I'm a simpleton...)

Okay....I gotta say it, it's a pain in the butt trying to find my way back to just the"unread posts", it was soooo easy when there was a button that said "unread posts", most of the time I don't have a ton of time to go searching for the new posts since I was last on, or one's that were replied to since last i was on. Am I missing something here ?

I can't really find how it was before, but I did add a "New Posts" link at the bottom. Does that help?

New posts at the top is great. How about a "mark forums read" next to it? When I get done reading the new posts that I am interested in, I like to mark all the rest as read.....
