Kenmore washer Drum Banging

Hi There,
This is a Kenmore Washing Machine, model 110.29852992. Washer got out of balance, and we could not get downstairs fast enough, now is perpetually banging no matter how the clothes are arranged. I assume somthing broke, but what?

the outside drum has three counter balance springs holding it up. one spring's loop may have broken. the washer part is a tub within a tub.
