  • whirlpool commercial dryer model LER4634JQ1

    Hi
I have acquired this dryer on a rental property and it just stopped working for the tenant - just will not come on . I checked the electric panel box and all seems to be in working order there. My problem is I do not have an owners manual because it came with the property. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Even if someone could suggest where I could get the manual online that would be very helpful!!!
    Thanks

That model doesn't look like a "commercial" dryer but just a regular household model. There is no coinbox on it.

I checked the electric panel box and all seems to be in working order there.
Has anyone actually confirmed power to the dryer?? That would usually be a first step required to try to narrow down the possible causes.

If full power (240 volts) is definitely getting to the dryer but it is not running at all, a problem with the door switch (or that switch not being activated) or a problem in the timer are possible.

If the timer counts down as normal but the dryer just doesn't run, a problem with the motor is possible.

My problem is I do not have an owners manual
You can find owner's manual resources at the following link. It however will not be much help servicing an appliance. They are just meant to instruct you on how to use the product.

      Hi Dan,
thanks for the information - I will definitely pass onto my husband before he checks it out. The only thing I confirmed was the panel box and making sure the plug was intact. I know it is not listed as a commercial dryer but that is what is actually on the dryer itself - go figure!
      Thanks Again!!!

Yes, a marketing phrase. Just like most washers used to say "heavy duty" when they were just a standard machine.

Let us know if you need any more help tracing down the problem.
