GE Profile Side by Side Temperature Display Problem after replacing the main boar

I just replaced the mainboard and the evap motor on my GE Profile Side by Side (PS123S) for cooling problems. The main problem seems to be all fixed but now I have a different problem.
Somehow, the temperature display for both the refrigerator part and the freezer part shows the room temperature. Wehn I measure the actual temperature of compartments using a thermometer, I get 35 and 5 which are correct.

What can cause this display problem?
My refrigerator was made in 2002, and it's a side by side Profile Arcatica model.

That does not look like a complete model number which is the only way we can look up to see which refrigerator design you're working on. If you post again please include the complete model number.

Maybe the connection from the main control board to the user interface is loose? Recheck all the connections.

I can't think of anything else that could cause your symptoms besides a problem in the user interface control.

Weird enough, after running it for 12 hours, now they are displaying correct temps. Is it normal to operate like this? Does it take 10+ hours to be fully operational?

I wouldn't think so but couldn't say for sure. Some controls are designed to only slowly display a temperature change. On an early model with instantaneous temperature readout changes consumers were concerned when the temperature shot up each time the door was open. One manufacturer designed a 1 minute per degree change maximum on the display readout to elevate that. Maybe GE's has something similar?
