    I have a Kitchen Aid oven that when we pre heat the oven we get a power failure on the display how can i fix an do u think it might be the mother board

    It could be due to a failure in the electronic control itself, yes or maybe a problem with the power supply to the electronic control (or whole appliance).

        The only appliance I know of that is said to contain a "mother board" is GE's electronically controlled refrigerator and it is actually just a slang term for its main electronic control (it could have several). "Electronic control" is the correct terminology although different manufactures might use a slightly different description for such a part but none are likely to use "motherboard".

        I don't know how whatever model of KitchenAid oven you have was designed (since you never supplied the appliance's model number as the forum instructions requested) but in most cases the electronic control is the actual component with the digital display.
