the oven element shorted out and i replaced it. now the oven and broil elements do not heat up at all. All four burns work fine on the range! anyone know of a fix for this?

I'm afraid that is not enough information to identify the appliance in question. What is needed is its exact model number as the forum notice suggested be supplied. If you post it we can at least look it up to see what appliance design you're dealing with.maytag oven will not heat! or broil!

If this is an electronically controlled model, the short might have damaged the control. Unfortunately that is a fairly common occurrence with electronic controlsnow the oven and broil elements do not heat up at all
That would rule out a problem with the power supply to the appliance which leaves an internal failure of some kind. Further investigation will likely be needed to pinpoint the actual problem.All four burners work fine on the range!
