I have a 15 year old Kenmnore 80 series dryer. recently I had to replace the heating element and I have a new problem. It takes forever to dry. I have to put less than half of what I would have before. Also for some reason the lint seems to miss the trap and ends up in the aluminum vent tube, when I clean to trap, everything is usually at the bottom of the screen. Can someone help me figure out what the problem is?

You have some kind of air flow problem.
Check the dryer vent to make sure it is clean.
Make sure the dryer vent is not to long behind the dryer.
Also check inside the dryer to make sure nothing is blocking any of the venting.
