  • GE Profile Artica Refrigerator problem

Our GE Profile Artica Refrigerator has a problem. It is model number PSS27MGMAWW. It has started to freeze things on the refrigerator side of the unit. We lowered the temperature control all the way down to 1 and we still have frozen stuff. The freezer side seems to be working normally. It is set on 3. It seems that the fridge may be running all the time, rather than shutting down as it gets to temperature.

Any suggestions would certainly be appreciated.

There is an air damper (see the following link) that controls the amount of freezer air that enters to cool the fridge section. The door on that damer can break in either the fully open or closed position resulting in either too cold or too warm of compartment temperature.

LINK > GE PSS27MGMAWW Air Damper Asm.

    Check it for proper functioning.
