Can anyone set me in the right direction for a water treatment set up. I know that I have hard water (high in mineral content)and a ph problem. I should start with a needs analysis by getting a water test kit to identify the proper treatment. How and where do I get these kits? Which type/brand name is the best water softener currently available? I have had in-home visits from salespeople and have been quoted as much as $3,000 seems High. Home Depost seels a softener that is attached to the main for <$500. Help. . .

You asked............ "Can anyone set me in the right direction for a water treatment set up."

I just purchased repair parts for my older softner last week from the link below and was delighted by the help the owner gave me with tips on how to repair and up-grade my softner. This guy is full of hands on knowledge and I highly recommend his company with softner questions.
