I have a kenmore dishwasher with a model number of 665.13572k700. I started a load of dishes the other night and heard dripping while it was running and it was pouring water on the floor. It looks like the machine was just filling itself while running but just never stopped filling and eventually was coming out the door. when i shut the washer off and shut the water valve to it off under the sink i pressed the drain/cancel buttoon and it trained. I have tried jiggling the float while it is filling but nothing seems to stop it even if the washer is not on it fills. Any thoughts?

when you lift up on the float do you hear a click? may be barely audible but its there. -

ok, so you know the float is working. this is supposed to interrupt the fill solenoid if the tank level gets too high.Comment

That valve should only open when power is applied to it.
Valve open (ie. letting water through) without power = defective valve.
