  • No power to control panel of MSD2454GR Maytag fridge

After a power outage the control panel of my Maytag MSD2454GR has no power.Unlit and won't dipense ice or water.Fridge and freezer both work. Is there a reset or fuse or breaker? I've tried unplugging and replugging to no avail.

    Circuit board failure?

Is there a reset or fuse or breaker?
No there isn't nor are there any on most major appliances.

Power fluctuation often wreak havoc with the electronic control boards used in appliances. The most likely to be damaged for your symptoms is the Dispenser Control Board but there may be a slim possibility a failure in the Fountain Switch Board may be responsible but that is much less likely IMO.

There may also be a slim possibility just a loose wiring connection or breakage is responsible but I doubt a power fluctuation would have anything to do with that. It would have to be total coincidence. Someone could check where the wiring goes to the door through the hinge for a breakage.

where is the dispenser control board located?

How do I go about replacing the board? I'm moderately handy but don't know where it's located or how to get to it.

        Dispenser access

        .
Both boards should be behind the dispenser cover. The attached image may be for the dispenser used on your model.
