  • DishWasher wont drain

I have a Roper Dishwasher, its at least 8 years old and it will not drain, the water backs up and ends up leaking on the kitchen floor. Is there any way to fix this at home, or anything that can be checked at least before calling a plumber? Thanks in advance

First place I'd check is as Joe says, where the line attaches to the garbage disposal, the line that feeds from the disposal to the air gap can sometimes get clogged. Here's a link that'll give you other things to look at too http://www.repairclinic.com/0088_9_1.asp#Level1_4

Joe, most of the water remains in the bottom of the dishwasher. I dont where the water is coming from when it leaks onto the kitchen floor. I will have to take a good look as to actually where it drains to.
