This thing is about 30 years old im guessing. Every few days I find water in the bottom of the fridge and the last 3 days its been very warm weather. Now the freezer is starting to not freeze and items are beginn9ing to thaw. Im thinking of buying a used on if this cant be fixed. Could this be dirty coils because the unit is running.

Dirty coils will cause big problems - If yours is the type with a condenser and fan (usually in the bottom part) - The back side of that condenser will get clogged with dirt - Unplug frig and clean any condensers or coils that you may have - Also - you may have a bad auto defrost timer - If its 30 years old - I would not spend any money on it.quote:Originally posted by sttvr
