Kenmore Dishwasher Won't Drain

My Kenmore dishwasher will not drain. It seems to have stopped after the first wash cycle because I can see the detergent is still in the water. When I hit the Cancel/Drain button I can hear the sprayers spraying when it should be draining. I checked the usual fixes I found on this site. There are no clogs or kinks in the hose and my disposal knockout is knocked out.

The motor powers a direct mount pump on the motor shaft. During wash it goes in one direction and drain goes in the opposite. I would suspect contacts in the cycle timer switch that reverse the motor.

Thank you for your reply. My warranty expired two months ago. Is this something I can fix? Is there a procedure to test the switch? I am fairly handy with a multimeter.
