  • Ice maker cross-reference

My mother-in-law's icemaker stopped making ice. I'm thinking it needs to be replaced. I'd like to just swap out the icemaker in the freezer without having to redo everything. The refrigerator is a Kitchenaid and the model # of the icemaker is LR5010.

Does anyone know what other models are interchangeable with the LR5010?

    Thanks!

Most icemaker problems are really basic. Perhaps if you can tell us what your ice maker is or is not doing we can help you repair it for far less than than the cost of replacement.

Also, there are basically two types of icemakers, the flex tray type which uses a thin plactic ice cube tray that rotates to dump the cubes, and the Ice Mold type which has a metal ice mold and uses a rotating raker arm to discharge the cubes. If you can tell us which type you have it will help in identifying it.
