    Corning Smoothtop electric range

I have a 1973 Corning Smoothtop electric range which needs a new relay switch for the oven. The problem is that the type of switch now available is different from the one currently on the range. Do you know if the wiring schematic is available to do this? The model number ot the ramge os R30JB

If the relay is superceding the previous one use it. see if you can find a diagram maybe stamped into the relay.
european relays are marked 13-14 for the coil

Does the brand name printed on the stove say "Corning" or are you just describing the cook top type (ie. white glass)?

Do you know the part numbers of the original part and the suggested replacement? I can't find a parts listing for a model # R30JB without knowing the actual make of the appliance but if you can post the actual part numbers, that would likely help as well.

      JFYI

YOU CAN PROBABLY USE A NEWER VERSION OF THE ORIGINAL IF YOU HAVE THE COIL VOLTAGE, CURRENT CAPABIITIES OF THE CONTACTS. ALL THE RELAY DOES IS CONTROL HIGHER CURRENTS WITH A LOW VOLTAGE COIL AT LOW CURRENTS.
