  • Repairing Chipped Finish on Gas Range

I recently dropped something on the top of my gas range and chipped a fairly good sized piece out of the almond finish. Does anyone have any tips for how to repair this damage. My wife is about to kill me and I would appreciate any information anyone can provide to help save my life. Thanks in advance.

I don't know of any finish which will withstand the heat that is usually in that area without discolouring and looking worse than the chip. The only options I know of are to replace the cooktop or have it totally stripped and then reporcelained. Sorry

Thanks for the reply, Dan. I ordered some touch up paint for it from Sears and will try that. I appreciate your response.
