    rusted off garbage disposal

    [:0] The other day my garbage disposal just broke off from under my sink and took the pipe with it> It is a wasteking 4000 and it was here when i bought my home. I have no idea if i can just replace it or if its a huge project. blonde homeowner please help.

    You will likely need to also install a new 'sink flange' with a new disposer as well as fix any broken plumbing. While it may not be a "huge" job, it can be somewhat involved... especially if you don't have any plumbing experience.

    You can find a couple of different installation instructions at the following link. They should give you an idea what is involved to see if you think you're capable or not.

      I called in the a couple favors from my mechanically inclined friends[:I][:X] after buying a 1/2 horsepower garbage disposal of the same brand hoping it wouldnt be too much. It took two men about 4 hours but it works like a charm, and I only have to pay them a cheesecake[] so thanks for the reply
