I have a Whirlpool front loading washer Model# LHW0050PQ connected to a standpipe that has an "S" trap.
I've been told that it might be a good idea to drain the lines of water and replace the water in the trap with RV waterline anti-freeze when I'm away from the house for extended periods during the colder months so nothing bursts.(I'm in NY)
This is my first winter in the house (ex-apartment renter)and I'm not sure how to do that with the washer. The washer is a new one and I don't want to mess it up.
I assume I would then do it the same way to put water back when I come home.
Can someone please advise?
Thanks for any help,
Dan
