garbage disposal

i have a kenmore gar. dis. and when i turn it on it just hums but blades dont spin...it just started doing it like overnight...i pushed the red reset button but that didnt work...any suggestions of what i may do to fix it..if i get a allen wrench and turn the screw underneth will that help...
