I have a Samsung side by side and the water flowed fine when new 3 years back and after 6 months it came to a trickle, I changed the filter thinking it was the issue and it didn't help. Now a few years later it's so bad that I only get about 6 ice cubes a day. Any ideas?

I went to www dot partselect dot com and typed in your model no and maytag popped up. there are parts for the whole refrigerator listed. for the ice bin and water device it boils down to the water line. for ice it is a timer and a water solenoid. for water only it is the solenoid operating off the paddle in the door and associated plastic tubing inside the fridge section [reservoir] - the reservoir may be freezing shutting down the water flow.Comment

checked the res. not frozen. Took out filter than put back in and I got a decent flow for about 3 seconds than slowed to a trickle, waited a few minutes and again got a decent flow for about 3 seconds than trickle???Comment
