  • Maytag Oven - Model Number ??

I'm working on my mother-in-law's built in Maytag oven. But she seems to have removed the model number and other information on the tag with oven cleaner and scouring. I know where the tag is... it's just been blanked out. Without knowing the model number, it's pretty hard to order parts and such. It's an older unit - probably mid-80's - anyone know a reference where I might look at pictures to identify the model? Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks for the tip. Tried that site - very handy, but doesn't seem to be any help identifying the model. Of course, it tells me how to find the model number label; but as I said, this one's label contains no information any longer. Any other thoughts? Any sites with pictures of the various models so I could identify by sight? Thanks.

You can not identify an appliance model just by appearance. Even two models that look identical could use very different underlying parts.

What part(s) do you need for it anyway??
