Have a 10 yr old Frigidaire Gallery dryer. It works fine except that from time to time small rust spot are left on clothes. After inspecting I found that there is what appears to be some sort of foam seal recessed inside of the door opening. Have cleaned this several times with a rag wet with bleach and have removed a lot of rust but still get spots. Also tried vinegar. Replacing the foam will cost close to $200 for a service call. Don't want to buy a new dryer that works great except for the occasional rust spot. Need a good idea. Thanks.

** 10 yr old Frigidaire Gallery dryer. **
I'm afraid that is not enough information to identify the appliance in question. What is needed is its exact model number.
You can find tips for locating the model and serial number identification tag on your appliances in the 'Repair Parts' section of my web site linked below.

Do it yourself?

Inspection needed
Great, you can see an exploded parts view of it at the following link:
LINK > Frigidaire FSE747GES1 Dryer Exploded Parts Views
Now someone will just have to actually look into it to isolate the cause and replace or repair the problem area(s).
