Hi all!
I have a Maytag side by side frig model #PSB2151GR that is not getting cold. About 7 years old. The freezer is working great but everything in the frig is lukewarm. I removed the back panel inside the freezer to access the coils and it looked like 1 big chunk of ice. I defrosted these and I am waiting to see if it helps. The fan that is above the coils is working, and the lights turn out when the doors are closed.
The condenser on the back of the appliance is hot to the touch and the fan next to it is blowing. The drain in the freezer is clear. I know this since I defrosted the coils and soaked my kitchen floor. The lower opening from the freezer to the frig near the frig drawers was almost completely frosted over. This is now defrosted. The top opening is clear and the little door that is controlled by the temp setting knobs is functioning when the knobs are turned. It has been a few hours since I did this all and it seems to be getting cold but I'm not so sure.
Any help? And where do i start?
Thanks!
