My fridge is not producing full ice cubes, the ice cubes are a shell but not solid. Also, the water dispenser is very slow filling now. What is wrong and how do I fix it?

Check water supply
** not producing full ice cubes, the ice cubes are a shell but not solid **
Hollow ice cubes are caused by too little water entering the icemaker.
** Also, the water dispenser is very slow filling now. **
The pressure/speed of the water out of the dispenser is solely determined by the house water pressure. If the two are any different than a blockage somewhere between the wire pipe connection and the affected refrigerator parts need to be investigated.
The first and foremost suspect is often the type of saddle valve that was used when connecting the fridge's water supply line to the house plumbing. If a *self-piercing* type saddle valve was used (most refrigerator installation instructions specifically advise against it) or any type of saddle valve was mounted on the underside of a horizontal pipe, it would be a prime suspect.
Only a drill type saddle valve should be used (if not a regular plumbing tap) and only installed on the side of a vertical pipe or top of a horizontal pipe.
Some simple things that could also be checked include the water supply line to the fridge for kinks and/or blockages. Blockages could included a plugged sediment screen (if installed) at the water valve on the fridge. A plugged internal water filter on your model could also cause both problems although it could not be 'checked' but would have to just be replaced to see if the conditions improved.
