  • Frigidaire dishwasher wont drain

All the drain lines are clear. I removed the drain pump and ran it. The impeller spins but it is easily stopped with the end of a plastic zip tie. It does not seem strong enough to pump water up the drain line. Any thoughts?????? The model # is pldb998cc0; 4 years old.

Does it run when connected inside the machine?

I would think it should have more force than that although I've never attempted to hold back the impeller so don't know what you should expect.

Basically, if the pump is being powered it should be pumping. If it isn't pumping at that time and there is no blockage in the water flow to or from it, the pump may be defective and need to be replaced.
