I have a fridgidaire dishwasher 3 years old......It had water sitting it in. I reran it again to no avail...it sounded like it washed but the water was still sitting at the bottom. So I felt in the filter plastic thing on top and had food in it. I cleaned that out then I pulled the propeller out and then the next piece it attached to. I cleaned broken glass in it. I put everything back and washed all the pieces...didn't see any loose bolts or screws. Put the four pieces back as I carefully removed it to make sure I can put it back...now the symptom is when running spuds spit out and no water. I let it run for 5 minuts and reopened but now smoke most likely as the water didnot come out. It sound like it was going to spray water but only spit spuds out. What did I miss? I reattached for the 5th time to make sure everything is tightly secure but still same symptopm.

I am afraid to run it since it started to smoke and I don'twant to ruin the motor.

fridgidaire [ultraquiet III] dishwasher 3 years old.
I'm afraid that is not enough information to identify the appliance in question. What is needed is its exact model number.

LINK > Model Number Tag Search

now when running spuds spit out and no water.
Sorry but I don't know what you're referring to by "spuds".

let it run for 5 minuts and reopened but now smoke
Smoke from where? Inside the tub or below it from the motor compartment??

Hi, the spuds are soapy and came out of the propeller piece that usually spits out the water. I ran the dishwasher before I took it apart to clear the clog. when I put it togetherr again, and let it run with an empty load, usually a couple of minutes goes by and it does a prewash and water usually starts spraying out however the motor I guess made acouple of clicking noises and when i opened the door, it had soapy spuds slowly pushing out of the lower propeller. I checked to make sure nothing was lose when I put the bottom pieces back together.

I reran it and no water. I opened thhe door and it was smokey inside the dishwasher. the smoke wascoming down from where the propeller and soap was. I hope it helps. There isn't a model on on the door except the ultraquiet III. I checked again but will see if i have the paperwork from the purchase. Before I took it apart, it did spray water ok but it seemed to not drain out. I am not sure where the soap came from except when I took the propeller and filters out, i washed it with a soap sponge. I rerinsed it and put in exactly as I took out.

I still don't know what you're describing. You not just referring to soap suds (aka 'bubbles') are you?

There isn't a model on the door
It won't be "on the door". It will be inside the dishwasher or on the edge of the door (hidden when closed). The link provided previously should have illustrated where to look for it.

I checked again but will see if i have the paperwork from the purchase.
It has to be taken directly off the appliance's model and serial number identification tag (see the previously supplied link) not from paperwork which might have accompanied the purchase.

I reran it and no water.
Someone will need to look into that. Running a dishwasher with no water could damage the pump seals... maybe even leading to them smoking?

The dishwasher failing to fill could be caused by a defective water fill valve, a defective float switch, the float just out of place or a problem in the control system.
