My GE side by side refrigerator has a new puddle on the floor in front on the left side. Almost everyday for the last couple of weeks, the puddle is back. I also noticed that the inside bottom of the freezer has a solid sheet of ice. This unit is about 13 years old and is used in my garage. The ice maker is not hooked up, so I guess all that excess tubing in back is the plastic tubing for the icemaker? It was hanging loose and was trapped underneath the fridge. I am wondering if that miight cause a leak? I cannot see any water underneath the fridge and when I pulled it back from the wall the floor was dry. The trapped plastic tubing, the ice inside at the bottom of the freezer side, and the puddle of water are the only things I see that look wrong. Is this enough information to help? Oh, the model # is 162D7991G051. Thanks for any help!

That will be why. The ice is likely the result of defrost water backing up into the freezer and freezing there. All that ice will have to be thawed and someone will have to look for a plugged defrost water drain located beneath the evaporator (cooling) coil in the freezer section.the puddle is back. I also noticed that the inside bottom of the freezer has a solid sheet of ice.
No it isn't, it is the part number of something, likely the paper tag or booklet, etc. it was written on. You can find tips for locating the model and serial number identification tag on your appliances at the following link:the model # is 162D7991G051
