I have a GE profile side by side refrigerator. The plastic cup at the back of the ice maker bucket has broken. I ordered a new one but don't know how to install it. I am assuming that the auger needs to be removed but don't know how. Any info. would be greatly appreciated!

looking at my own icemaker, I would assume the whole unit comes out and you'd make the repairs onthe bench then re-install the whole unit back into the freezer. -

on mine the harvester "bucket" lifts out and the auger goes with it.Comment
