GE Dishwasher won't clean

Soap does not dispense, dishes are not clean. Not overloaded and all are rinsed before washing. GE profile dishwasher. What do I do now?

Rinsed as in under a tap?? If so, you shouldn't be doing that. The detergent needs food particles to act upon otherwise it will attack the surfaces of plates and glasses possibly causing etching. Only scraping off large food remains into the garbage or a disposal should be done prior to washing.

What exactly do you mean by that? The dispenser door isn't opening? The detergent isn't being washed away??
