  • Washer tub loose/parts question

    Washer model # WTW5500sQ0

Can anyone tell me what these plastic basket things are and what this brass pin are? They are near the pads on the base frame. I found the pin inside the plastic basket thing. There are 3 spots for pins and baskets, I only had 2 baskets and 1 pin. The pin also has a hole at the tip that lookts to be for a cotter pin. Does anyone know i this will fix my tub being loose? My tub in the washer clanks so bad and loud it actually moves the washer. All my springs are attached and everyone else looks good, i think its the pins. I have pics but can post them until i have 5 post.

You might be referring to the remains of the shipping pins in their holders.

        Suspension problem

is that needed to keep my tub from being loose?
Only during shipping, not during normal use, no. If the tub is moving around too much during a spin, some part of the machine is defective. It could be weak, stretched or broken suspension springs or a problem with the washer's suspension pads between the washer base and triangular 'skid' plate beneath the tubs.
