i just bought a house w/ all appliacnes included but my diswasher stinks, literally! i know nothing about dishwashers. can someone tell me what the rotten smell may be from. it's only about two years old.

Have you run the dishwasher through a cycle or two with detergent in it? You can add baking soda to help.
The dishwasher may not have been used for some time and there is standing water in the bottom. If the door was closed then mold probably started to grow.
