    odd dryer problem

I have a GE gas dryer model number DBL333GAOWW. It starts fine, ignites and runs through the first cycle. The problem is that it won't reignite after that. But here is the strange part - only when the drum is back in. I have tested it through 10 cycles without the drum and it fires up every time. When I put the drum back in it it goes through the first cycle and then never reignites. It glows but won't ignite.

I've checked the air flow and it is fine. No blocks all of the way out of the house. I've snaked it and used a high pressure vac. to make sure. So no air obstructions at all.

    Any help/suggestions?

    Thanks!

the blower operates off the same motor that drives the drum. could be a reduction in combustion air.

try restricting the air flow with the drum out and see what happens. then go looking for the start permissives in your gas igniter circvuit.
