Magic Chef Side-by-Side Fridge - Dividing Wall Hot to Touch

Hello,

I have an RC20K-3AW Magic Chef Fridge (19 years old). It works fine, except the dividing wall at the front in between the fridge and freezer has been heating up a great deal. It now actually hurts when touched. Any idea what the problem may be? What part may need a replacement?

That model number appears to be missing a digit (RC20K__ -3AW). Did you get it right off the appliance's model and serial number tag? The B/M (bill of material) number from that tag might also be helpful.

That can be caused by a plugged condenser or a failed condenser fan motor (see the link below) as explained at the following link:

The refrigerator should probably be turned off until corrected as working in such a condition puts added strain on the compressor which could fail, leading to a hefty ($$$+) repair bill.
