  • Whirlpool Gold Dryer no heat

Have a Whirlpool Gold that has no heat. I have read many ideas on why and guess it's a thermostat or element. Problem is how in the world do I get into this thing? Every other dry/washer is accessible from back or bottom but not this pain in the butt.

Any help on how to get in and how to test parts once is would be appreciated.

    Model number?

    Whirlpool Gold Dryer
I'm afraid that is not enough information to identify the appliance in question. What is needed is its exact model number.

Any help on how to get in
Not until we know which machine is involved.

    and how to test parts
    Usually for continuity:

I got into it finally and used a tester to determine the thermal cutoff might be bad. Going to get one today and try it. When testing with the meter it didn't register at all. Thermostat and element both registered.

BTW I was able to remove a panel under the door to get to it. I wish I knew that before taking the screws out of the back trying to get into it because now I have to try to get the drum reattached to the back.

      Thanks for trying to help.
