  • GE Refrigerator - Evaporator Fan Won't Work

I have a GE GSS25JFMC WW side-by-side refrigerator that gets cold and defrosts but without the evaporator fan, the cold air stays at the bottom of the freezer. Bought a new evaporator fan and sensor and installed, but it won't turn on at all. Anyone have an idea why?

    Control board problem??

The fan on your model is powered directly from the main control board on the back of the fridge. If the door activated light switch was sticking ON, the control might 'think' the door was open and that the fan should be off. Otherwise the control itself may be malfunctioning.

I also had a problem with my refrigerator. It stopped cooling even if it is turned on. So, what I did is to call the manufacturer and ask their help. Thankfully, the warranty of my refrigerator is not yet expired.
