Water Softener not working

My GE Profile water softener is not removing the hardness from our water. It worked for about 6 months but recently we started having problems. I have an adequate amount of salt in the resin and the hardness level is set according to our water hardness given by our Water co. Does anyone have any suggestions before I call maintenance on it? Thanks!

Wish I could help you out, but I don't know much of anything when It comes to water softeners.
