Element poorly installed?
drunm does not turn got heat. take back apart lower element shot
Also, if you just installed the element coil(s) and not the whole preassembled heater housing (see the following link), it/they could have been installed poorly. Any part of that coil touching a ground could allow the element to heat (at least partially) without the dryer even being on!
LINK > GE DWXR483EB0WW Dryer Heater Housing Asm.
Lastly, if you did install just the coil, having it stretched unevenly would usually also result in premature failure. Every link in the coil of the element has to be spaced evenly or hot spots will develop.
Check your work.

Restringing a dryer element
first time putting in a element. any more tips for a newbie
The element coil needs to be taut in the insulators once installed. The element will expand slightly when heated as any metal does. Any slackness could lead to sagging when hot and shorting to ground.
Be sure not to kink the element coil while feeding it through the insulators. Two loops too close together will create a hot spot and likely result in premature failure.
