  • Whirlpool dishwasher leaking

Hi, I have a Whirlpool dishwasher model# DU912PFGQ0 that just started leaking. It starts leaking immediately when starting to fill. It appears to be leaking where the hose connects to this contraption in the picture. Is this repairable?

    Thanks, Rick

    Is the hose on tight?

    Any cracks in it?

It may also be possible that the water inlet may be caked up internally with lime and scale deposits. It may need to be cleaned?

      Hi Dan:

I checked the hose and it was good with no cracks or leaks. I cleaned the water inlet part in the picture with white vinegar and tried it with success. No more leaks!

      Thanks, Rick

Glad to hear it. A small diameter bottle brush might also be able to be used to clear lime and sale buildup as well.

        Thanks for the follow up.
