    Standing water in garbage disposal

My garbage disposal drains ok, but there is always an inch or so of standing water remaining. This is new - had been working fine for over a year - so it's not the height of the drain. Any ideas why this should be?

could be just where the outlet is in relation to the grinding chamber.

Thanks, but I don't think that's it. As noted it worked fine for over a year, and the outlet hasn't moved.

the drain is gravity feed, so if there's some standing water, don't worry about it. standing water seeks its own level. so if the flanged outlet is a slight bit higher than the bottom of the grinding chamber and lower seal don't worry bout it.
