my mothers furnace is operating properly but seems to be causing power surges. her electric bills are normal in the summer and then in the winter they are jumping up around 5 to 6 hundred a month in a mobile home. she has good insulation and new windows. the furnace is new last year. her old furnace caused the same problems. everything we have done to help her in the winter does not seem to take care of the problem. her bills are only this high when the furnace is running, is anyone else having this issue.
