My RCA Home Theater unit shuts itself off after about 20 minutes if I play the volume over 25. Otherwise everything else functions properly. Does anybody know an easy fix for this. RCA warranty requires I mail it to them, seems like it would be less costly to fix myself rather than mail the complete package.

check the audio circuit for an overload or circuit breaker. it may also have a fuse in the ckt. the purpose is to prevent the mosfet from over driving. you open the set to fix it yourself the warranty goes out the window. -

I appreciate the info, the warranty expires 1/1/08 and I think it would cost me more to send it to them than replace it. I will give your ideas a try.
