DO NOT BUY THIS.
i had purchased this last year, constant problems with VCR recording and playback and also with DVD's, I missed out on the 3 mo return at walmart, I thought it was just me and could not figure the thing out. Not so.
It does have a 1 yr. warranty, BUT you have to call 1-877-805-0519 which is thompson elec, they will send you a return auth online.
Then you ship it to Georgia, but then you wait, after 1 1/2 mo I called, they say to fax receipt, they could not repair and would send refund.
OK I did that 11/12, called 12/5 they had receipt since 11/12, then they are looking it up and tell me I will get a refund and they will process it, I say we already went thru that and what is the status of the refund, I had all my conf #'s, I had shipped the item back in Sept.
So I say nicely to the lady, OK I know this has nothing to do with you but, I sent it back, you rec'd it, I did not hear from you in a month and I had to call YOU, then I got sent to another person for a refund, now I am awaiting the status of the refund, and had to call YOU a 2nd time, when you should of called me the first time. OK do you understand? she says yes and they will process my refund immediately.
That was on 12/5 so I no doubt will file a report with the attorney general.
