    Input selector problem

I have 2 vintage transister integrated amplifiers (a Luxman L-204 & a Technics SU-8011) with the same problem. The input selector dial causes one side of the output section to intermittently cut out or crackle. This occurs with headphones as well as speakers. The quick fix is to position the selector in between 2 of the inputs on the dial. Rather than have to do this I am seeking a permanent solution. Anyone have any experience with this problem? Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

The selector switches need to be cleaned/lubed wtih contact cleaner. You can pick some up at a Radio Shack type store, or send the units in for repair. Make sure the contact cleaner is safe to use on plastics. Read the label.
