    JVC receiver repair

I have a receiver that was blowing its fuse when power was turned on, so I checked the power transistors and found two of them shorted, so I unhooked them from the circuit board and now I can power up without blowing a fuse. I know where to get the parts my only question is, what are my odds that is the only thing wrong? I am afraid to blow the new transistors, I have checked as many components as I can, but I am afraid a resistor is open that doesn't check open.

odds are slim that the only problem is the output transistors. they should be replaced with the same as originals or equivalent. really is a job for a pro.
