That sounds like a solid setup you’ve got with your network rewire and Ubiquiti gear! Adding network audio to your home can really enhance your listening experience. If you’re looking at the Yamaha WMA-series amp and network preamp, you’re on the right track. They offer good integration with network systems and allow for easy streaming and multi-room setups.

Here’s a quick rundown on what to consider:

    1. **Network Audio Integration:** Ensure your network audio gear is compatible with your current network setup. Yamaha’s WMA-series is designed to integrate well with modern networks, but always double-check compatibility with your equipment and streaming services.

    2. **Speaker Placement:** For in-wall speakers, plan their placement carefully for optimal sound distribution. Consider acoustic treatment and speaker positioning to get the best audio performance.

    3. **Control and Automation:** Look into how you'll control your audio system. Many networked systems offer app-based controls, which can be very convenient. Check if the Yamaha gear integrates with home automation systems you might already use.

    4. **Power over Ethernet (PoE):** While your network uses PoE for CCTV, remember that audio components usually need a standard power source. Ensure you have appropriate outlets near your in-wall speakers.

    5. **Future Expansion:** Consider whether you might want to expand your system later. Choosing gear that supports multi-room or multi-zone capabilities could make future upgrades easier.

Overall, with a solid network foundation and the right components, you’ll be set to enjoy high-quality, distributed audio throughout your home.

Anyone with experience adding network audio to their home? I've finished a complete network rewire with cat. 6 ethernet throughout, Ubiquiti WiFi and PoE CCTV for the outside. Considering adding something like the Yamaha WMA-series amp and network preamp or similar plus a few pairs of in-wall speakers.
